Panama is safe and beautiful country, land of opportunities, even with stockmarkets, banks and whole nations bleeding.

Why would you choose to come and live in Panama ?
The country recently has been getting a lot of international attention.
Upto now most people just knew Panama for the Panama Canal . That is changing …

Nature

Panama forms a natural landbridge between North and South America.  It has ocean on 2 sides, a pristine and exuberant nature and a tropical climate year-round.  The countryside and beachareas are beautiful with rolling hills, white sand and lush forests.  There are several mountain areas with a cooler climate and stunning views.  And of course there's the island archipels; boasting over 365 islands with palmtrees, crystalclear waters and white beaches.

Flora and fauna is very rich in Panama . It is one of the best countries for birdwatching and fishing, and Coiba island has been named a UNESCO site, just like the Galapagos islands.  Temperatures are around the higher eighties, between 25 and 30 degrees, with rainy season running from May to November.

Cost of Living

Panama was recently voted one of the top 5 best countries in the World to retire abroad in by the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), and voted the number one overseas retirement haven by International Living. To give you an idea of the some of the price differences in Panama, a full-time maid or gardener can be hired for about 150-200 USD per month, a trip to the movie theater will run you less than 3 dollars per person, Medical Services, which are par to those in the United States cost about 30% what they would back home, and a filet mignon can be purchased in a nice restaurant for about 6-10 dollars. Cars cost about what they would in the United States , as does Gasoline.

Democracy

Panama is a democracy without a military. The political environment is very stable and keen on attracting foreign investors. Special visa regulations and tax incentives make the country attractive for investment.

Economy

The economy in Panama is one of the fastest growing and with the best outlooks in Central America.  The currency is the US dollar and inflation is low. The services sector is well developed.  The banking sector in Panama City is actually the second largest in the world.  Banking and offshore services in Panama are internationally known and the Colon Free Trade Zone is one of the biggest in the world.

Despite the World financial crisis Panama is proudly maintaining a steady economical growth; the expansion of the Panama Canal, the construction of several large oil refineries, ambitious infrastructural projects and many flourishing residential and tourism projects keep attracting people from all walks of life.
